Thank you for shopping at NerdWare Studios. We want you to love the nerdy, geeky, gloriously weird things you bring into your space. If something isn’t right, this page explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds.
1. Eligibility Window
Unless otherwise noted on a specific product page:

You may request a return or exchange within 30 days of the delivery date.

After 30 days from delivery, we’re generally unable to offer a refund or exchange.
2. Condition of Items
To be eligible for a return:

The item must be unused, unwashed, and in the same condition that you received it.

It should be in the original packaging, with all tags, inserts, and accessories included.

We may refuse or reduce a refund if the item shows signs of use, damage, or missing parts not due to our error.
3. Non-Returnable Items
Because of the way we produce and customize our goods, some items are not eligible for return or refund, except in cases of damage or defect:

Custom or personalized items (including custom engraving, names, dates, or made-to-order designs)

Digital items (downloadable files, printables, etc.)

Gift cards

Clearance / final sale items (marked as “Final Sale” on the product page)

4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If you receive an item that is:

Damaged in shipping

Defective

Not what you ordered (wrong item, size, design, etc.)
Please contact us at bignerd@nerdwarestudios.com within 7 days of delivery and include:
- Your order number
- A short description of the issue
- Clear photos of the item and any damage or misprint
Once we review your request, we will typically offer one of the following:

A replacement of the same item

A store credit

A full or partial refund to your original payment method
We reserve the right to determine the best resolution based on the specific situation.
5. How to Start a Return
To start a return, please contact us at bignerd@nerdwarestudios.com with:

The item(s) you’d like to return

The reason for the return
If your return is approved, we will provide:

Return instructions

The return shipping address (and, if applicable, a return shipping label)
Do not send items back without contacting us first, as unapproved returns may not be accepted.
6. Return Shipping Costs
Unless the return is due to our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item):

You are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.
If the return is due to a mistake on our end:

We will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a pre-paid label, where applicable.
We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
7. Refunds (If Applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you via email to confirm:

That we’ve received your returned item

Whether your refund has been approved or partially approved

Refunds will be processed to your original method of payment (or store credit, if requested).

Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
If only a partial refund is granted (e.g., item not in original condition, shows signs of use, or is missing parts), we’ll explain the reason before processing.
8. Exchanges
We are happy to exchange items when possible, particularly for:

Because many NerdWare Studios products are made-to-order or produced in small runs, available stock may be limited. If an exchange is not possible, we may offer:

9. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received a refund after we’ve confirmed it was processed:
- Double-check your bank or credit card account.
- Contact your credit card company or bank; it may take some time before a refund is officially posted.

10. International Orders
For orders outside the United States:

Customs fees, duties, and taxes are non-refundable.
